CAERC Officially Registered in the International Scientific Organizations Registry
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) has been officially registered in the Research Organization Registry (ROR) — one of the world's leading scientific infrastructure platforms — and has thereby joined the ranks of internationally recognized research institutions.
As a result of the registration, CAERC has been assigned a unique organization identifier used across the international scientific ecosystem. The Center is now recognized as an independent research institution within global scientific information systems.
ROR is an international registry that provides unified identification for universities, research institutes, think tanks, and other research organizations. Registration in this system — regarded as a key element of scientific infrastructure — is considered one of the primary indicators of an organization's recognition in international academic activity.
The ROR system is widely regarded as the institutional counterpart of the DOI and ORCID platforms for research organizations. Just as DOI identifies scientific articles and ORCID identifies individual researchers, ROR provides unified identification for organizations across the global scientific landscape.
The new status will also strengthen the international representation of Iqtisadi Islahatlar (Economic Reforms), the scientific-analytical journal published by CAERC. The journal's metadata will be linked to the organization's official identifier across global scientific platforms, thereby expanding the visibility of its publications, enabling citation tracking, and broadening its participation in international academic circulation.
Obtaining a ROR identifier also reinforces CAERC's integration with OpenAlex, Crossref, ORCID, DataCite, OpenAIRE, and other international scientific platforms. As a result, the Center's publications, authors, and research performance indicators will be automatically tracked and analyzed within the global scientific information space.
It is worth noting that ROR curators assessed CAERC's research activities, researcher employment, and the use of the Center as an affiliation in international scientific publications, and concluded that its inclusion in the international registry was fully warranted.
CAERC's registration with ROR will make a significant contribution to strengthening the Center's international scientific standing, expanding opportunities for global research collaboration, and promoting Azerbaijan's scientific and analytical potential on the international stage.
