The virtual meeting of the "International Trade" working party of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings was held. The meeting, held with the participation of the Head of the Working Group, First deputy minister of economy Elnur Aliyev, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings, Head of the Division for monitoring, coordination and evaluation of economic reforms of the Department of economic policy and industrial issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the subgroup for improving the efficiency of state services on trading across borders, Deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee Natig Shirinov, as well as representatives of relevant state agencies and the private sector, discussed the work done during the current year.

The meeting heard presentations on legal regulations on the quality of public services to facilitate international trade, the addition of maritime and road freight sub-sectors to the Emissions Trading System, and the possibility of creating relevant infrastructure areas in the Port of Alat.

Also, the steps taken were brought to the attention of the meeting participants within the framework of the activities of the International trade working party during the 2025 year as the relevant coordinating body from Azerbaijan for the Trade Facilitation Strategy paper of the Organization of Turkic States.

Then, discussions were held on the implementation status of the tasks included in the "Roadmap for 2025 on the implementation of improvements and communication in the relevant field related to the "International Trade" indicator of the World Bank Group's "Business Ready" report" regarding the activities of the working group, and relevant recommendations were made.
