State Program approved on improving water supply, stormwater and wastewater systems in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has signed a Decree approving the State Program on Improving Water Supply, Stormwater and Wastewater Systems in the City of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula for the period 2026-2035.
Under the Decree, the Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with coordinating the implementation of the measures envisaged under the State Program and overseeing their execution, as well as submitting an annual report on the status of implementation to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the measures envisaged under the State Program will be carried out by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication upon the instruction of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In line with the financing mechanisms envisaged in the State Program, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy will annually take the necessary measures during the preparation of the state budget and state investment programs to allocate the required financial resources, as well as to attract financing from alternative sources.
