Azexport portal exports pomegranates, dates and citrus products to Belarus
Representatives of a wholesale network from the Republic of Belarus visited Azerbaijan, organized by the Azexport.az portal, which operates under the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with local entrepreneurs in the regions of Lankaran, Astara, Goychay, and Hajigabul. The guests were given on-site presentations about the modern facilities available in orchards and cold storage units where the products are cultivated and stored.
The director of the Belarusian wholesale network, Andrey Drozden, stated that his company currently imports products from countries such as Spain, Turkey, Egypt, and Uzbekistan. He noted that the orchards and the quality of Azerbaijani products left a strong impression on the visitors:
“In particular, citrus fruits and persimmons are very tasty and of high quality. I believe that Azerbaijani-grown citrus fruits rank among the top three globally in terms of taste and quality. This visit, organized with the support of the Azexport portal, and the agreements signed, are just the beginning. We have already started planning return visits in the coming weeks to explore confectionery and canned food production and to define our orders,” he added.
Through its "Incoming Buyer Mission" program, the Azexport portal has so far facilitated the visits of company representatives from the USA, Turkey, Russia, Canada, and European Union countries to Azerbaijan. These missions aim to introduce foreign buyers to local entrepreneurs and infrastructure and to promote Azerbaijani products in international markets.
Companies interested in participating in such meetings are encouraged to contact the portal. No service fees or commissions are charged for the organization of these meetings or the services provided by the portal.
