Azerbaijan’s Passport Ranking Improves in International Index
Azerbaijan has improved its position in the 2026 Passport Index released by the international consulting firm Henley & Partners, moving up three places to rank 67th.
According to the results of the ranking, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan can travel to 70 countries visa free, with a visa on arrival, or via an electronic visa.
It should be noted that within the framework of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, the activities of the Working Group on International Agreements play an important role in strengthening Azerbaijan’s position in global passport rankings. These efforts include expanding reciprocal visa free travel regimes, increasing the number of international agreements, and implementing institutional reforms, all of which contribute significantly to enhancing the international mobility of Azerbaijani citizens.
