CAERC representative participated in the IMF international training program

Gunay Rahimli, Chief Advisor of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), participated in the international training program on "Fiscal Frameworks," jointly organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Joint Vienna Institute, and the IMF Institute for Capacity Development.

The program, held in Vienna, was attended by representatives from the ministries of finance and economy, central banks, and reform agencies of Asian and European countries, as well as leading experts from international financial institutions.

During the two-week program, lecture and practical sessions were conducted on the formulation of fiscal frameworks, budget deficit trends, fiscal rules, the interaction between monetary and fiscal policies, public debt sustainability, and fiscal consolidation pathways. Throughout the training, participants acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in analyzing and evaluating fiscal policy within a unified macroeconomic framework based on a general equilibrium approach.

Participation in this program is an essential component of CAERC's activities aimed at learning advanced international practices and strengthening the analytical foundations of Azerbaijan's economic policy.
