The Heads of the Turkish World Research Center and the Digital Trade Hub, operating under the CAERC, participated in an online meeting jointly organized by the International Turkic Academy and the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States. The meeting focused on discussing the projects executed by the Network of Economic Policy Research Centers (ERCNET) in 2023 and the jointly planned events for the current year. Additionally, the results of the annual report on digital trade and investments in the Turkic world were shared with interested parties, and topics related to the implementation of the proposals arising from the report were discussed.

During the online discussion, and with the agreement of the official institutions, think tanks, and scientific and academic circles included in ERCNET, a decision was made to write the report "Turkic Economies 2024 Report: Strengthening Transport and Energy Relations between Turkic States" in 2024.

It is noteworthy that one of the main goals of preparing the report is to analyze the current economic landscape of the Turkic states, focusing on the opportunities and challenges related to the expansion of transport and energy relations in the region. The report will encompass a survey of the existing transport and energy infrastructure in the Turkish states and will support identifying key areas of improvement and investment to strengthen ties. Moreover, within the framework of the report, the potential of multifaceted and close relations in promoting economic growth and the expansion of trade between the Turkic states will be assessed, with a special focus on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
