The next meeting of the "Inclusive Social Development and Social Security" working group was held in videoconference format.
The discussion focused on the general report on monitoring and evaluation of the work done last year within the framework of the objectives set for 2023 under the "Development for the Well-being of Every Citizen" and "High and Fair Social Security" (National Priority of "Dynamic, Inclusive, and Socially Justice Society") within the framework of the goals envisaged for the year 2023 of the "Social-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026". The Chairman of the working group, Anar Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population said that the important steps taken in the field of implementation of the stated goals of the Strategy will continue in 2023. The achievements of President Ilham Aliyev's successful social policy and the successes of social reforms were brought to attention. It was emphasized that last year, further increases were made in wages and pensions, allowances, and scholarships.
Elnur Alakbarov, Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Department of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, provided information on the results of the monitoring conducted by the Center. A general report on relevant monitoring and evaluation has been brought to your attention. Members of the working group held discussions on the report and drew attention to their opinions and suggestions.
In addition to the of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection Population and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the working group includes the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Health, The State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "ABAD" public legal entity, the Central Bank, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic, the State Migration Service, and the managers of the Youth Foundation are represented under the authority of the State Agency for Social Innovations.
Eight working groups were created by the Decree of Prime Minister Ali Asadov dated June 12, 2023, in order to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of the measures provided for in the "Socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026" and to coordinate the activities of the relevant state bodies.
