Ayhan Satici, Head of the Turkic World Research Center (TWRC) operating under the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, made a speech at the conference "Geopolitical Transformation in the South Caucasus after the Karabakh War," organized by the Hungarian Institute of International Relations in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
In alignment with the conference's main theme, A. Satici discussed the transformation of the geopolitical and geoeconomic landscape following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. He highlighted the projects initiated in the East Zangezur and Karabakh economic regions after the victory in the Patriotic War. Emphasizing the significant regional and international importance of the Zangezur corridor, he expressed optimism about its positive impact on regional relations and its crucial role in fostering economic cooperation in the South Caucasus.
A. Satici also shared information about TWRC's initiatives, including "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-economic Development," the "Strategy of Socio-economic Development in 2022–2026" based on these priorities, and the "I State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
During his presentation, A. Satici elaborated on the restoration and construction efforts that generate added value in the region, providing detailed insights into the "Araz Valley Economic Zone." The conference, which continued with expert discussions, saw the participation of representatives from various embassies and researchers from research centers operating in Hungary.
