An online meeting was held with the participation of the relevant state institutions regarding the implementation of the Price Tracking System organized by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. At the meeting, as a result of the meeting of the Working Group on "Inflation and Price Monitoring" held in October, discussions were held regarding the implementation of the tasks given to the relevant state institutions.
Vusal Gasimli, Executive director of CAERC, gave information about the analytical framework of Price Tracking System. He said that the introduction of Price Tracking System will allow monitoring the price changes in the import-wholesale-retail trade and local production-wholesale-retail chains and will play the role of an important decision-making tool for the relevant government agencies. Price Tracking System will provide an opportunity to determine the points of price formation based on the data of databases of various state institutions and private institutions. With the creation of the system, the data collected from various government agencies and private data providers will be integrated into a single database and their technical compatibility will be carried out. In this way, it will be possible to conduct an analytical analysis of data collected from various sources.
In addition, views were exchanged on the structure of information to be integrated into the planned digital Price Tracking System, as well as measures planned within the framework of the project implementation at the meeting.
Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health, the State Customs Committee, the State Statistics Committee, the Central Bank, the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy and the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service under the Ministry of Economy took part in the meeting.
