A meeting was held between the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and representatives of think tanks of Uzbekistan. In addition to research centers of Uzbekistan, representatives of individual state institutions and ministries also participated in the meeting.

Vusal Gasimli, the Executive director of CAERC gave detailed information to the guests about the activities of the Center and said that CAERC is currently engaged in monitoring and evaluation of state programs, road maps and strategies, in addition to the analysis of economic reforms carried out in the country.

Also, Vusal Gasimli touched on Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations and he emphasized that the economic relations between our countries are continuously developing and that the political will of the leaders of the two countries has a special role in this. He informed the guests about the suitable business and investment environment in Azerbaijan and said that the restoration and construction works carried out in the territories freed from occupation not only revitalized business activity, but also opened new opportunities. The executive director of CAERC reminded that Uzbekistan also participates in the reconstruction of Karabakh and finances the construction of a 960-seat school in Fuzuli. V. Gasimli also gave detailed information about publications and portals operated by the Center and said that he is ready to share the Center's experiences with Uzbek colleagues.

Sherzod Fayziyev, The head of the Uzbek delegation, deputy director of the International Institute of Central Asia of Uzbekistan, former ambassador said that Azerbaijan is developing dynamically and has achieved serious results. He emphasized that Uzbekistan is the locomotive of Central Asia, and Azerbaijan is the locomotive of the South Caucasus, and said that there is great potential to further develop our relations. Sh. Fayziyev, who considered the activity of CAERC to be productive, noted the importance of cooperation between think tanks.

Ayhan Satici, acting the head of the Turkic World Research Center (TWRC) operating by CAERC, gave detailed information to the guests about the Turkic World Research Center. He said that TWRC, along with other Turkish states, focuses on the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan and shares statistical data reflecting the development of this country with other countries in 8 languages.

Later, there was a wide exchange of views between the delegations, and questions of mutual interest were answered. Ramil Huseyn, Deputy executive director of CAERC and Natig Panahli, chief advisor of  Public relations division also participated in the meeting.

Within the framework of the meeting, the Uzbek guests got acquainted with the activities of the "One Stop Shop" Export Support Centre.
