A meeting was held between the heads of the innovative projects of CAERC (azexport.az, enterpriseazerbaijan.gov.az, Digital Trade Hub) and representative of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Cooperation issues were discussed in the framework of the project "Strengthening trade relations between the Eastern Partnership countries and the European Union through the promotion of sustainable and digital transport corridors" implemented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and GIZ at the online meeting. Aykhan Gadashov, head of "Azexport.az" portal, Ismat Mehraliyeva, head of Digital Trade Hub and Nazrin Akbarova, project manager of "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal made detailed presentations about the projects. They discussed the implementation of digital solutions for trade opportunities across the country, the establishment of digital connections, the creation of digital transport corridors and other priority areas.

The meeting was attended by Bahar Arabova, software specialist of GIZ, Armin Wagner, chief consultant in the field of transport, Kullmann Felix, consultant in trade, digitization and private sector development.

The project aims to deepen the economic integration between Eastern Partnership countries in terms of sustainable, multimodal transport, logistics and their digital transformation. The implementation of the project is planned to begin in 2024 and continue for three years.
