Vusal Gasimli congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to the new post and expressed confidence that his activities in Azerbaijan will further expand bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. Hungary is one of the most important partners of Azerbaijan in the European space, and noted that two countries have very good political, economic and trade relations and strategic cooperation in the field of energy. He emphasized that joint activities within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States will contribute to the deepening of cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Tamas Yojef Torma stated that relations between Hungary and Azerbaijan are based on friendship and strategic partnership. This year the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries was celebrated and was also a year for the beginning of large-scale cooperation with partners from Hungary. He emphasized the interest in establishing cooperation between think tanks from Hungary and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication in the field of joint research, organization of economic forums and seminars.
V.Gasimli informed about the process of restoration of territories freed from occupation, the goals of the country's economic development strategy, as well as the activity of the Center in the field of monitoring and evaluation of state programs. The ambassador was given detailed information about the improvement of Azerbaijan's position in "Doing Business" and other international rankings, the flagship projects of the Center, Azexport.az, EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com, Digital Trade Hub, Azranking.az and the "One Stop Shop" Export Support Center.
At the meeting, the "Turkish Economic Review", which is a periodical publication of the Center was presented with comparative analysis of the countries of the Turkic world in the fields of trade, oil and gas, transport and logistics. It was agreed to conduct joint cooperation in the preparation of the section on Hungary in the next issue of the publication.
At the end, the guest was presented the book "New Karabakh Letter: Post-conflict construction in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions" prepared by the Center.
