Ayaz Museyibov, Head of Department of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), and Ayhan Satyci, an analyst, attended the conference organized by the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) on April 11-12, 2022.
At the conference on "Resilience and economic growth in times of high uncertainty in CAREC region", A. Museyibov and A. Satici presented a study on "The economic impact of the Zangazur Corridor on the CAREC region and prospects for economic relations between the CAREC region and the EU."
The purpose of the meeting, which was attended by delegations from CAREC member countries, the World Bank, ADB, ADBI, universities and non-governmental organizations from non-member countries such as Japan and Singapore, is to discuss cooperation for green economy and sustainable development, current business risk analysis and sustainable agriculture and food safety. Presentation of the annual book of the CAREC Institute also featured at the conference. Thus, the staff of CAERC made a presentation for the publication of their research on the topic of economic impact of the Zangazur corridor on the countries of the region in the relevant book.
CAREC was established in 1996 at the initiative of the Asian Development Bank to generate data and build capacity to accelerate economic growth in the CAREC region. Our country has been participating in the program since 2003.
