According to the March issue of the "Export Review", in January-February 2022, Azerbaijan's exports amounted to 6 billion USD, 461,8 mln USD in the non-oil sector. Exports in the non-oil sector amounted to 130.6 million USD compared to 2021 or increased by 39.4%.

In 2022, fruit and vegetable production increased by  21,9 million USD compared to the same period last year and amounted to  92,3 million USD. During the relavant period, exports of chemical products increased by 9 times, aluminum and aluminum products by 57.4%, cotton fiber by 38.3%, cotton yarn by 35.2%, ferrous metals and their products by 16.5%.

In January-February  2022, cotton wool (51,1 million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector, carbamide was second (29,3 million US dollars) and shelled hazelnut was third (28,6 million US dollars).

In January-February 2022, 153.3 million USD worth of non-oil goods were exported to Turkey,    119.1 million USD to the Russian Federation, 28.1 million USD to Georgia,  21 million USD to Swiss Confederation ,  19.4 million USD to Italy.

During the normalization process, exports in February 2022 amounted to 2.9 billion USD. Exports in the non-oil sector increased by 24% to reach 229.6 million USD. In February 2022, exports of food products increased by 19.4% compared to the same month last year and amounted to 51.7 million USD, and non-food products increased by 25.4% to reach 177.9 million USD.

In February 2022, Turkey (82.7 million US dollars) topped the list of countries where the largest part of non-oil goods are exported. Russian Federation was second (48 million US dollars) and Georgia was third (13.6 million US dollars).           

In February  2022, cotton wool (28.9  million US dollars) took first place among exported products of the non-oil sector, electric energy was second (16 million US dollars) and carbamide was third (14,7 million US dollars).

The Export Review has compiled a ranking of both non-governmental and governmental exporters in the non-oil sector in January-February 2022.

The top ten companies in the ranking of non-governmental exporters in January-February 2022 are the following: “MKT Industrial Commerce LLC”, Representation of “Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited” in the Republic of Azerbaijan, “Agrovest” LLC, “P-Agro” LLC, “Agrovest” LLC,  “Chinar Agro” LLC,  , “Product Service” LLC,  “Almeyve” LLC,   “ZR-78 Company” LLC, , “AzMet” CJSC,  “Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association” LLC.

The list of state-owned companies involved in export operations in the non-oil sector is headed by the SOCAR “Marketing and Economic Operations Department”. Next on this list are “SOCAR Polymer” LLC, “Azeraluminium” LLC, , “Azərenerji”  OJSC, “Azercotton Agricultural and Industrial Complex” LLC, “AzerGold”  CJSC, “Azeripek” LLC, “Department of Geophysics and Geology”, “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC.

In February 2022, the total cost of operations made by foreign citizens through bank cards in our country amounted to 186,5 million AZN. In January-February 2022, foreigners made transactions worth 391.2 million AZN using bank cards.

The total amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal in January-February 2022 amounted to 83.9 million US dollars. In February 2022, the total amount of export orders submitted to the Azexport.az portal amounted to 38,7 million US dollars. In February 2022, he list of most ordered goods from Azexport.az portal were tobacco, cotton fiber, cottonseed oil, pomegranate juice, apples, wine, chicken, chicken eggs, sugar, hazelnuts, etc. It should be noted that from January 2017 to February 28, 2022 (during 62 months) the value of export orders received by the Azexport.az portal from 145 countries amounted to 2.8(2,804.4)   billion US dollars.

At the same time, according to the Export Review, during March 2022, the total cost of the non-oil export implemented through the One-Stop-Shop Export Support Center was 24.3 million US dollars.
