According to the February issue of the Export Review, during January 2022, the total export of Azerbaijan amounted to 3.1 billion US dollars with 232.2 million US dollars in the non-oil sector. Non-oil export has increased by 86.2 million US dollars or 59% in comparison with 2021.
During January 2022, the export of fruits and vegetables has increased by 15.8 million US dollars in comparison with the same period of 2021, and reached 52.8 million US dollars. During the mentioned period, the share of chemical industry products in the non-oil export has increased by 9.3 times, cotton yarn - by 56.4% times, aluminum and products made of it – by 56.5 %, cotton fiber – by 34.5%, sugar – by 24.1 %, and ferrous metals and products made of them – by 10.2%.
In the period of normalization, in January 2022, food export has increased by 31% in comparison with the same month of 2021 and reached 60.2 million US dollars, and non-food exports have increased by 71.9% reaching 172 million US dollars.
