An awareness-raising meeting on the topic "Safety Culture and Risk Management" was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) with security expert Gazanfar Aloyev, initiated by the "Reform Volunteers." The main objective of the meeting was to enhance the knowledge and skills of young people in the field of safety, strengthen awareness of modern risks, and highlight the importance of early threat detection and preventive measures.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the significance of safety for modern society, the development of a safety culture, and the systematic management of risks. Detailed information was provided on personal and public safety, environmental protection, digital security, the assessment of potential threats, and preventive actions that can be implemented to minimize risks. It was noted that a safety culture is not limited to emergency preparedness alone; it also encompasses responsible behavior in daily life, the accurate assessment of potential hazards, and the adoption of a preventive mindset.
Against the backdrop of rapid technological advancement, special attention was devoted to cybersecurity issues. Cyber fraud methods conducted using artificial intelligence technologies, cases of manipulation and forgery in the digital space, personal data protection, and legal defense remedies when encountering such incidents were discussed. Participants were reminded that ensuring digital security requires not only the proper use of technological tools, but also verifying the credibility of information sources, handling personal data with caution, and improving digital literacy.
Gazanfar Aloyev shared his professional experience on the subject, presenting real-world examples of hazards and risks. The meeting continued in an interactive format, where questions raised by the youth were addressed.
Alongside the "Reform Volunteers," the event was attended by "Volunteer Customs Officer," "Ailam Volunteers," "Tourism Volunteers," State Examination Center volunteers, "Media Volunteers," and "Heritage Friend" volunteers, as well as students from various higher education institutions.
