To implement e-commerce solutions the EU4Digital initiative of the European Union has launched a pilot project on developing e-commerce between the EU and the Eastern Partnership region in three Eastern Partnership countries - Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. Within the project, the mentioned countries exported the products to Germany. Azexport.az portal participated in the pilot project as a virtual warehouse of Azerbaijan. Head of the national portal Aykhan Gadashov said that the automatic submission of information on goods ordered through the German e-Bay portal to postal and customs officials was tested in practice, and handmade wooden items made by the Azerbaijani company ISAR Group were delivered to Germany during the pilot project. A.Gadashov added that the virtual warehouse project implemented by EU4Digital aims to support buyers and sellers from the B2C segment, and Azerbaijan has many small and medium-sized businesses in this segment.
