The “Demo Day” event, the final stage of the “Startup School 4: Five Continents – 500 Startups” global innovation programme of the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), will be held. Bringing together startup and innovation ecosystems from five continents, the event will provide teams with an opportunity to present their innovative solutions to investors, entrepreneurs and business representatives.

Hundreds of applications were received from 15 countries – the United Kingdom, Denmark, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Uganda and Azerbaijan. Following the selection process, 233 startup teams qualified to participate in the programme.

As part of the online training stage of the programme, 20 sessions were held across 11 modules. Nearly 30 trainers and mentors from the United States, Malta, China, Finland, Türkiye, Australia, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Pakistan, India, Ethiopia and Madagascar delivered training on sustainable economy, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, leadership and team management, marketing, sales strategies, innovation and product management, intellectual property, business development and investment readiness. The teams that successfully completed the training will present their startups at the final “Demo Day” event.

“Demo Day” will be held on 31 October 2026 from 10:00 to 18:00 at “Sabah City”, in conjunction with the “TEI (Trade, Export & Innovation Forum) Forum 2026”. The first part of the programme will feature a startup exhibition. Panel discussions on the innovation ecosystem, regional trade development and investment are also planned as part of the forum.

In this regard, “Demo Day” will not only serve as the final event where startups present their products and services, but will also provide a platform for them to establish connections with international partners, initiate contacts with investors, discuss opportunities to enter new markets and shape their future development prospects.

“Startup School 4” is being implemented with the participation of nearly 40 partners from the local and global innovation ecosystem. The partner network includes nine venture capital funds from various countries, including the United States, China, Türkiye, Qatar, Pakistan, Malta, Finland and Azerbaijan.
