Gunay Rahimli, Senior Advisor of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), participated in the international training programme on “Monetary and Fiscal Policy Analysis with DSGE Models,” organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in cooperation with the Joint Vienna Institute and the IMF Institute for Capacity Development.

Representatives of finance and economy ministries, central banks, and reform agencies from Asian and European countries participated in the programme held in Vienna. During the two-week programme, lectures and practical sessions were conducted on the development and application of Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models, analysis of the macroeconomic impacts of monetary and fiscal policy, and the modelling of various economic shocks.

Participation in the programme is an important part of CAERC’s efforts to expand its capacity to use modern macroeconomic modelling tools, learn from advanced international practices, and strengthen the analytical foundations of Azerbaijan’s economic policy.
