An information session was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) as part of the “Peace Month” announced by the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Opening the event, Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Executive Director of CAERC, highlighted the Ombudsman’s appeal and provided information on the objectives and significance of the “Peace Month.” It was noted that the “Peace Month”, held from August 21 to September 21, aims to promote the values of peace and increase attention to strengthening an environment of dialogue, mutual respect, and understanding in society.

Speaking at the event, Doctor of Economic Sciences Agil Asadov emphasized the important role of peace in sustainable development and economic progress. According to him, a stable and secure environment enables countries to use their economic potential more efficiently, expand investment and cooperation opportunities, and implement new economic projects. Agil Asadov also spoke about Azerbaijan’s initiatives aimed at promoting long-term peace and cooperation in the region. It was noted that strengthening peace in the region creates new opportunities for the development of transport and communication links, deeper economic integration, and expanded mutually beneficial cooperation.

The event featured an exchange of views on the interrelationship between peace and economic development, the improvement of social welfare, the development of human capital, and the importance of inclusive economic growth.
