Elnur Aliyev, Operations Manager at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), participated in an international seminar on “Agricultural Development and Poverty Reduction” held in Yangling, Shaanxi Province, People’s Republic of China.
The seminar was organized as part of an international training program implemented by the Chinese government for developing countries. The event aimed to provide participants with an opportunity to learn from China’s experience in agricultural modernization, improving efficiency in the agricultural sector, expanding the use of digital technologies, developing rural areas, and reducing poverty, as well as to promote knowledge and experience sharing among partner countries.
As part of the program, representatives from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Cambodia attended presentations on the agricultural innovation ecosystem, the integration of research and development outcomes into production, agricultural processing, and the development of value chains. The participants also visited agricultural and research institutions in Yangling, as well as the city of Xi’an, known for its rich historical heritage and modern development model.
At the closing ceremony of the seminar, Elnur Aliyev, Operations Manager at CAERC, delivered a speech on behalf of the Azerbaijani delegation. He highlighted the dynamic development of relations between Azerbaijan and China and expressed his gratitude to the organizers for hosting the seminar.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan was represented at the international seminar not only by CAERC, but also by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Food Safety Agency (AQTA), and the Agricultural Research Center (ARC).
