Orkhan Sadygov, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), participated in an international seminar organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The seminar was dedicated to strengthening corporate governance and financial oversight in state-owned enterprises (SOEs). The event, organized by the IMF’s Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia Regional Capacity Development Center (CCAMTAC), brought together experts operating in public financial management and fiscal risk assessment from various countries.
Participants enhanced their knowledge and skills in analyzing the financial performance of state-owned enterprises, identifying and assessing fiscal risk, as well as international approaches to corporate governance, accountability, transparency, and financial oversight.
Furthermore, within the framework of the seminar, country experiences regarding the performance evaluation of state-owned enterprises, fiscal risk management, and ongoing reforms in this field were analyzed, followed by an exchange of views based on practical case studies.
