Rashad Najafli, Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Division at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, is participating in an international seminar titled "Quality and Safety Management of Agricultural Products for Developing Countries" held in Changsha, the People's Republic of China.
During the opening ceremony, following a selection process among representatives of the participating nations, Rashad Najafli was chosen as the leader of the delegations from the participating countries. Together with Mr. Hu Kaihui, Director of the Commerce Department of Hunan Province, Mr. Liu Rong, Director of "Hunan Agricultural Science Group Co., Ltd.", and Ms. Zeng Cuiting, Deputy Director of "Hunan Agricultural Science Group Co., Ltd.", he officially declared the seminar open.
Speaking on behalf of the participating countries at the opening ceremony, Rashad Najafli emphasized that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China is developing successfully, and noted that international training programs such as this make important contributions to expanding the exchange of knowledge and best practices, strengthening professional cooperation, and supporting sustainable development goals. He stated that the quality of agricultural products and food safety constitute fundamental pillars of economic development, public health, and national food security.
Organized with the support of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the seminar is attended by representatives of government institutions from developing countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Namibia, Benin, The Gambia, Palestine, and Ethiopia.
The goal of the seminar is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise on agricultural product quality control, food safety systems, international standards, certification mechanisms, digital solutions, and innovative management practices, as well as to expand cooperation among developing countries.
Within the framework of the program, participants are being introduced to China's advanced practices in agricultural product quality management, laboratory and inspection systems, product traceability, risk assessment, digital monitoring tools, and food safety.
