The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) has presented the June 2026 issue of the "Export Review." According to the review, in January-May 2026, Azerbaijan's exports in the non-oil sector (excluding non-monetary gold) increased by 16.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2025 and amounted to 1.5 billion USD. In May of the current year, Azerbaijan's exports in the non-oil sector (excluding non-monetary gold) increased by 27.2 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 396.7 million USD. In general, during this period, exports of food products increased by 23.8 percent to 144.6 million USD, while exports of non-food products increased by 30.7 percent to 288.5 million USD.

During January-May of the current year, compared to the corresponding period of last year, exports of sugar increased 4.2 times, cotton yarn 2.4 times, fats and oils of vegetable and animal origin 57%, aluminum and products made from it 44.6%, cotton fiber 25%, fruits and vegetables 18.6%, tea 16.8%, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages 6%.

In January-May 2026, exports of agricultural products increased by 25.2% to 414.5 million USD, and exports of agro-industrial products increased by 39% to 160.5 million USD. In total, the combined export of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 28.8% to 575.1 million USD.

During the mentioned period (excluding non-monetary gold), gold (167.6 million USD) ranked first in the list of exported non-oil sector goods. In this list, tomatoes (119.8 million USD) ranked second, and copper ores (112.5 million USD) ranked third. During May 2026, tomatoes (44.6 million USD) ranked first in the list of exported non-oil sector goods. In this list, gold (36.5 million USD) ranked second, and strawberries (26.6 million USD) ranked third.

In January-May 2026 (excluding non-monetary gold), non-oil sector goods worth 433.7 million USD were exported to the Russian Federation, 306.1 million USD to Turkey, 229.7 million USD to Georgia, 178.7 million USD to Switzerland, and 67.9 million USD to Ukraine.

In May 2026, non-oil sector goods worth 127.1 million USD were exported to the Russian Federation, 86.8 million USD to Turkey, 53.8 million USD to Georgia, 39.1 million USD to Switzerland, and 15.2 million USD to the United States of America.

The following companies were represented in the top five of the ranking of non-state exporter entities prepared for January-May 2026: the Representative Office of "Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Prime Cotton" LLC, "Azərbaycan Şəkər İstehsalat Birliyi" LLC, "Baku Steel Company" CJSC, and "AGRARCO" LLC. The list of state-owned companies participating in export operations in the non-oil sector (excluding non-monetary gold) is headed by "SOCAR POLYMER" LLC. Subsequently, the following companies are represented in this list: "AzerGold" CJSC, the "Marketing and Economic Operations" Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Azəralüminium" LLC, "Azərpambıq Aqrar Sənaye Kompleksi" LLC, the Gas Export Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, "Azərenerji" OJSC, "Socar Cape" LLC, and "Naxçıvan Enerji" LLC.

In January–May 2026, telecommunication services worth 10.8 million USD were provided by the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan ("Azercosmos") to nearly 90 companies from 33 countries around the world. Export operations accounted for 63 percent of the total revenues generated during this period. Among the countries provided with services, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Turkey, Pakistan, Sweden, and Egypt hold a large share. During the reporting period, the United Kingdom ranked first in the top five exports of satellite telecommunication services with 1.8 million USD, followed by Luxembourg with 1.3 million USD, Turkey with 490 thousand USD, Pakistan with 486 thousand USD, and Sweden with 187.2 thousand USD.
