Regional conferences are being conducted to discuss the "State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fishery, and Aquaculture Products in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2030," approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 25, 2026. The objective is to execute the instructions given at the conference dedicated to agricultural matters chaired by President Ilham Aliyev on May 25 of this year, and to ensure a coordinated, agile, and efficient implementation of the measures scheduled under the State Program across the regions.

The conferences cover the Central Aran, Mountainous Shirvan, Ganja-Dashkasan, as well as Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions. Conducted upon the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the meetings feature the participation of assistants to the President, heads and authorized representatives of relevant state entities, heads of local executive authorities, farmers, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.

At the conference dedicated to the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions, Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts; Emin Huseynov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts; Majnun Mammadov, Minister of Agriculture, and other officials provided information regarding the measures envisaged under the State Program. The event featured discussions on grain growing, intensive fruit growing, animal husbandry, and fisheries across the Khankendi, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Khojaly, Khojavand, Shusha, Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Gubadli, Lachin, and Zangilan districts.

At the conference for the Ganja-Dashkasan economic region, Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Economic Issues and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration; Zaur Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture; and Khayyam Mammadov, First Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, delivered speeches. The event hosted discussions on the current status and future perspectives of grain growing, viticulture, potato growing, and animal husbandry across the Ganja, Naftalan, Dashkasan, Goranboy, Goygol, and Samux districts.

At the conference for the Central Aran economic region, Zeynal Naghdaliyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department for Territorial and Organizational Affairs; Seymur Safarli, Deputy Minister of Agriculture; and Zaur Mikayilov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, delivered speeches highlighting the targets set for the agricultural sector. The event covered discussions on grain growing, fruit growing, melon production, and animal husbandry across the Mingachevir, Agdash, Goychay, Kurdamir, Ujar, Yevlax, and Zardab districts.

During the conference held for the Mountainous Shirvan economic region, Khalid Ahadov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Socio-Economic Issues; Ilhama Gadimova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture; and Ilham Bayramov, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, conducted discussions on the existing situation and prospects of the region. The event featured an exchange of views on viticulture, grain growing, and animal husbandry sectors across the Aghsu, Ismayilli, Gobustan, and Shamakhi districts.

The events were attended by Baghis Ahmadov, Advisor to the Executive Director of CAERC; Orkhan Sadigov, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the Center; Abdulrahim Dadashov, Deputy Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department; and Elnur Alakbarov, Head of the Economic Analysis Department.

The proposals of farmers and entrepreneurs were heard at the conferences, and the importance of coordinated action among relevant agencies, local executive authorities, and the private sector was emphasized for the effective local implementation of the State Program.

It should be noted that these events serve the efficient local execution of the State Program, the strengthening of direct dialogue with farmers and entrepreneurs, and the prioritization of upcoming tasks across the regions. Regional conferences will continue in other cities and districts of the country as well.
