Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), delivered an opening speech at an international event titled "Seminar on Green Energy and the Management of Meeting Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals for Developing Countries," organized in Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan province.

He stated that in 2025, a Joint Declaration on establishing comprehensive strategic partnership relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China was signed by the leaders of the two countries. Within this framework, successful cooperation is being implemented in the field of green energy.

In his speech, R. Huseyn shared insights on the measures implemented by Azerbaijan—the host country of COP29—toward energy transition and the utilization of renewable sources. He touched upon Azerbaijan's successful cooperation with international corporations in the green energy sector, noting that Chinese companies are also actively involved in these initiatives. Currently, Azerbaijan is working toward realizing four green energy corridors. These green corridors will connect Central Asia with Europe.

The event featured reports on China's latest achievements in solar and wind energy sectors, as well as presentations regarding green hydrogen and bioenergy. Along with CAERC from Azerbaijan, representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Energy, and the State Customs Committee are also participating in the international seminar.
