The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) has presented the May 2026 issue of the "Export Review." According to the review, during January–April 2026, Azerbaijan's exports in the non-oil sector (excluding non-monetary gold) increased by 13% compared to the corresponding period of 2025, totaling 1.1 billion USD.
During January–April of the current year, exports of sugar increased 4 times, cotton yarn 2.3 times, vegetable and animal oils and fats by 71%, cotton fiber by 49.9%, fruits and vegetables by 22.1%, aluminum and articles thereof by 32.2%, tea by 12.1%, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 9.4% compared to the same period last year.
During January–April 2026, exports of agricultural products increased by 28.3%, reaching 298.3 million USD, while exports of agro-industrial products rose by 31.6%, totaling 119 million USD. In total, the combined export of agricultural and agro-industrial products expanded by 29.1% to equal 417.3 million USD.
In the list of exported non-oil goods during the designated period, gold (131.1 million USD) ranked first. Cotton fiber (92.9 million USD) placed second, and copper ores (87.9 million USD) ranked third on this list.
For the month of April 2026, gold (35.89 million USD) ranked first in the list of exported non-oil sector goods. Cotton fiber (35.83 million USD) placed second, and tomatoes (30 million USD) ranked third on this list.
During January–April 2026, non-oil goods worth 306.6 million USD were exported to the Russian Federation, 219.2 million USD to Türkiye, 175.8 million USD to Georgia, 139.5 million USD to Switzerland, and 56 million USD to Ukraine.
In April 2026 alone, non-oil goods worth 94.9 million USD were exported to the Russian Federation, 79.3 million USD to Türkiye, 55.1 million USD to Georgia, 36.1 million USD to Switzerland, and 13.5 million USD to Ukraine.
In the ranking of non-state exporting entities prepared for January–April 2026, the following companies were represented in the top five: the Representative Office of "Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Prime Cotton" LLC, "Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association" LLC, "AGRARCO" LLC, and "Baku Steel Company" CJSC.
The list of state-owned companies participating in non-oil sector export operations is headed by "SOCAR POLYMER" LLC. Following it on the list are: "AzerGold" CJSC, "Azeraluminum" LLC, the "Marketing and Economic Operations" Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), "Azerpambiq Agricultural Industrial Complex" LLC, the Gas Export Department of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, "Azerenerji" OJSC, "Socar Cape" LLC, and "Nakhchivan Energy" LLC.
During January–April 2026, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos) exported telecommunication services worth 8.7 million USD to around 90 companies from 32 countries worldwide. The revenues generated from Azercosmos's service exports constituted 64% of its total revenues.
During the reporting period, the top five countries in the export of satellite telecommunication services were the United Kingdom with 1.4 million USD, Luxembourg with 1 million USD, Türkiye with 381.1 thousand USD, Pakistan with 370 thousand USD, and Sweden with 187.2 thousand USD.
