A meeting was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) with a delegation from the Punjab Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, currently visiting our country within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13). The delegation was led by Ali Dar, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives. The delegation included high-ranking Pakistani government officials, leading entrepreneurs, and the Head of the Azerbaijan Trade House operating in Pakistan.
The Pakistani delegation was informed about the operational mechanisms of the "Azexport.az" portal, operated by CAERC, its integration with global e-commerce platforms, and the opportunities created for bringing the products of local entrepreneurs to international markets.
Ali Dar, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab, stated their interest in deepening relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the field of e-commerce and collaborating on the digital realization of both nations' economic potential. He noted that specific steps would be taken to apply the experience of "Azexport," which stands out as an advanced project in this field, within Pakistan.
Aykhan Gadashov, Head of the "Azexport" portal, highly appreciated Pakistan's recent international achievements in the fields of digital solutions, technological innovation, and human capital development. He expressed that they are always ready to share Azerbaijan's experience in building e-commerce infrastructure and establishing institutional mechanisms with the Pakistani side.
During the meeting, CAERC's another innovative project, the "Enterprise Azerbaijan" portal, was also presented to the delegation. Isa Gasimov, Head of the portal, provided details on the platform's activities regarding the development of the startup ecosystem in the country, attracting investment, and supporting young entrepreneurs.
It should be noted that on May 17, President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of the Punjab Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
