A presentation ceremony of the monograph entitled “Energy Security Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan: Transition from Conventional Energy to Green Energy,” authored by Member of the Milli Majlis, Doctor of Political Sciences, and Professor Elman Nasirov, was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC). The event was attended by members of the Milli Majlis, government officials, public and political figures, representatives of academic circles, and media representatives.

The scientific editor of the monograph is Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of CAERC, Doctor of Economic Sciences, and Professor. The reviewers include Urkhan Alakbarov, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Academician; Eldar Guliyev, Member of the Milli Majlis, Doctor of Economic Sciences, and Professor; and Vugar Rahimzade, Member of the Milli Majlis, Doctor of Political Sciences, and Professor.

The book provides a comprehensive analysis of the essence, structure, priorities, and prospects of the energy security policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the context of the transition to green energy. It examines, on a scientific basis, the country’s cooperation with foreign companies, its contributions to global green transition processes, as well as initiatives proposed and decisions adopted within the framework of COP29.

The monograph is intended for specialists, diplomats, academics, and students working in the fields of energy security, foreign policy, and green energy transition, as well as for a broader readership.

The monograph consists of three main chapters: the formation and stages of development of Azerbaijan’s energy security policy; the structure of the country’s energy sector and the priorities of energy security policy; and the current state and future prospects of the transition to green energy in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the presentation, it was emphasized that the book holds significant scientific, theoretical, and practical importance for the country’s energy strategy and its transition to green energy.
