The fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026) is being held in Türkiye with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev. Realized under the auspices of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, this year's event is dedicated to the theme "Overcoming Uncertainties while Planning the Future."

Ilyas Huseynov, Head of the Turkic World Research Center (TWRC) of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), stated that the forum's theme emphasizes the importance of anticipating challenges and implementing effective solutions to build a better future. The current global environment is characterized by increasing uncertainty amidst geopolitical tensions, shifting power balances, multiplying trade barriers, and pressure on multilateralism. In this regard, the topics discussed at ADF2026 highlight the necessity of economic development by identifying risks and opportunities, developing strategies, and translating collective knowledge into concrete actions.

Ilyas Huseynov noted that the persistence of unresolved conflicts, deepening polarization, and widespread strategic competition demonstrate that many vital issues are affecting people worldwide. Therefore, to strengthen international cooperation, dialogue, and solidarity, it is crucial to overcome these challenges and move toward a more inclusive, fair, and effective international system.

ADF2026 is attended by more than 500 high-level officials from over 150 countries, including 22 heads of state and government, 14 deputy heads of state and government, more than 50 ministers - 39 of whom are foreign ministers - and 75 representatives of international organizations. The forum practically demonstrates its role as a vital platform for promoting dialogue, restoring trust, and building stronger cooperation. At the same time, it contributes to forming a roadmap for a more peaceful, stable, and resilient world for future generations. A key point is that the sessions at ADF2026 involve broad discussions on deepening uncertainties in the global system, transformation processes, and regional development trends. Furthermore, major agenda items shaping political, environmental, economic, and technological spheres remain at the center of the forum’s deliberations.

During the three-day forum, global uncertainties and regional processes will be discussed in detail through various panel meetings, interactive sessions, and bilateral meetings. The latest situation in the South Caucasus is also among the topics to be discussed at this year's event. The Head of TWRC added that the South Caucasus is no longer a place of conflict but has entered a stage of peace and cooperation. Azerbaijan is interested in the sustainability of peace, stability, security, and economic development on both regional and global scales and participates successfully in all platforms to achieve these goals.
