CAERC Executive Director Vusal Gasimli met with representatives from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the parties discussed U.S.–Azerbaijan cooperation in economic diversification.

Gasimli provided detailed information on the recent successful economic reforms led by President Ilham Aliyev, noting that CAERC contributes to “good governance” through the development of its monitoring and evaluation institute. He emphasized that these reforms have helped Azerbaijan achieve recognition as one of the world’s most reform-oriented countries, ensuring macroeconomic stability and economic growth. Gasimli also briefed the delegation on CAERC’s ecosystem, including Azexport.az, Enterpriseazerbaijan.com, the “One-Stop” Export Support Center, and the Digital Trade Hub.

USAID Mission Director Caydev Sink expressed the agency’s interest in continued collaboration and its commitment to supporting improvements in the local business environment. He highlighted that USAID is ready to work with CAERC to attract U.S. investments aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises in Azerbaijan. The delegation also visited the “One-Stop” Export Support Center at CAERC to familiarize themselves with the facilities and support available to entrepreneurs.
