A training titled How to Develop Innovative Startups was held at CAERC, organized by the Enterpriseazerbaijan.com portal. The training was conducted by Ussal Sahbaz, Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Foreign Policy Research of Turkiye and a Harvard graduate. Authors of business ideas, startup founders, and young entrepreneurs took part in the discussions.
During the training, the fundamental factors that startups should focus on on the road to success were analyzed comparatively through the most successful examples in this field, and methods of identifying and applying these factors were explained using practical cases and infographics. Questions that most interested young people who are new to business, such as What should be the first steps of a startup founder? Who are the friends of a startup? With whom and in what form is cooperation beneficial? were answered. In addition, the impact of the development of new technologies and the expanding application of artificial intelligence on the business sector was discussed, along with ways to benefit positively from these developments in building a successful business.
The Manager of the Enterpriseazerbaijan.com portal, Ayten Mammadova, stated that since its establishment the portal has taken serious steps toward studying international experience and organizes such trainings and seminars to transfer this experience to startup founders. She noted that considering Ussal Sahbazs extensive experience as a thought leader, this training was seen as a valuable opportunity for startups to gain new ideas, insights, and knowledge.
It should be noted that Ussal Sahbazs career spans leadership roles across the corporate, non profit, and political spheres. International media outlets such as Foreign Affairs, Forbes US, Techcrunch, and Wamda have published articles about his work. Ussal Sahbaz has spoken at events including the US Presidents Entrepreneurship Summit, Business 20 China, the Global Entrepreneurship Summit Moscow, Arabnet Dubai, the 5th Izmir National Economy Congress, and others. Over the past two years, he served as Director of GEs Istanbul Innovation Center. Prior to that, Ussal worked as a consultant for Google, Microsoft, and Paypal.
