In accordance with President Ilham Aliyev’s decree on additional measures to support competitive domestic production in the non-oil sector, the CAERC has officially launched the www.enterpriseazerbaijan.com portal.

The launch ceremony was opened by CAERC’s Executive Director, Vusal Gasimli. He emphasized that the portal serves as a regularly updated, user-friendly, secure, fast, and accessible information hub for investment projects, startups, real estate, shares, land, and other assets in Azerbaijan:

"Today, the key question worldwide is whether business assets or connecting platforms hold more value. Projects like Facebook, Airbnb, Uber, and Alibaba demonstrate the importance of digital platforms. In this context, the creation of EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com, forming an ecosystem with Azexport and the Digital Trade Hub, is strategic. Employers use the ‘human cloud’ to post assignments, and professionals worldwide provide services and execute projects through this network. Thus, EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com also acts as a 'human cloud' platform, connecting promoters and investors. As a P2P platform, it simplifies access to investment markets, reduces resources needed for capital attraction, and lowers costs. The portal incorporates a ‘robot-advisor’ algorithm, and blockchain applications are planned for the future. EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com supports a new business operating model in Azerbaijan, emphasizing consumer-centricity, data-driven development, talent-based approaches, and a shift from hierarchical to network structures. Leading angel, seed, and venture investors worldwide are ready to fund business projects in Azerbaijan through this portal, giving a boost to the startup ecosystem."

V. Gasimli invited local project authors, entrepreneurs, and investors to collaborate closely with EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com.

The ceremony featured speeches from prominent figures including:

  • Akif Alizade, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

  • Metin Kerimli, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection

  • Farid Ismayilzade, Founder of GoldenPay

  • Kestutis Yankauskas, Head of the EU Delegation in Azerbaijan

  • Allan Selirand and Jaan Heinsoo, Directors of the Estonian Investment Agency

During the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com and the Enterprise Estonia Development Fund, highlighting international collaboration for entrepreneurship development. Video presentations showcased the portal’s key features, and Azerbaijani football star Gurban Gurbanov encouraged the public to engage with the platform strategically.

International organizations and business representatives, including Viktor Dostoy (President of the Russian Electronic Money and Payment Transfers Association), Sardor Muhamadaliyev (Director of OrientSwiss Kazakhstan), Emerita Mariana (Department Director, University of Bucharest), Kultriak Pakavarkrilers (Executive Director, Thailand E-Business Center), Bill Tomson (Director for Eurasia, OECD), and Ingrid Rostenin (Co-Founder, Finding My Place), contributed via video messages highlighting the portal’s significance.

The launch event attracted participation from government and private sector representatives as well as international delegates.

EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com aims to enhance Azerbaijan’s potential for attracting foreign direct investment, increase investment appeal, provide information on alternative financing projects, and offer a convenient platform for local and international investors to fund business projects.
