A seminar on “Standardization as a Tool to Support Export Development” was organized jointly by the “One-Stop” Export Support Center and the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
The organizers, Nicat Hacızadə, Manager of the “One-Stop” Export Support Center, and Namig Taghiyev, Director of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, noted that the seminar aimed to provide Azerbaijani entrepreneurs with detailed guidance on the standards required for exporting products to foreign markets, application procedures, necessary documents, and recent legislative reforms in technical regulation and standardization. The discussion also focused on how certification and laboratory testing services influence the formation of a competitive business environment.
Nicat Hacızadə emphasized that the seminar serves as a support mechanism for entrepreneurs, helping to raise awareness, expand relations with international trade partners, bring local products that meet international standards to global markets, and strengthen export potential.
Namig Taghiyev highlighted that the primary goal of the national standardization body, the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, is to establish professional and high-level relations among business structures during export operations.
Following several presentations by Azerbaijan Standardization Institute experts, participants’ questions were addressed. The seminar was attended by over 40 entrepreneurs from various sectors.
