Based on a decree by President Ilham Aliyev, the Food Security Agency will begin operating within the “One-Stop” Export Support Center at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC). The agency will provide services for issuing food safety certificates, as well as phytosanitary and veterinary certificates. Exporters will be able to obtain these certificates in a single location through the One-Stop Export Support Center.

Nicat Hacizade, Manager of the One-Stop Export Support Center, stated that the Food Security Agency’s commencement of operations on July 1 will create new opportunities for exporters: “Within the center, exporters’ main advantage is the ability to receive certificates and approvals from other relevant government institutions that are part of the export process. In other words, under the One-Stop principle, businesses can obtain a certificate of origin, complete customs declarations, and easily access private sector standards required for export.”

It should be noted that the Food Security Agency will operate at the One-Stop Export Support Center in accordance with amendments to the President’s decree on “Strengthening Azerbaijan’s Position as a Digital Trade Hub and Expanding Foreign Trade Operations.”
