Meetings of working groups focused on improving the business environment and further enhancing the country’s position in international rankings were held at the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms (CAERC).

During the discussions, it was noted that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, deep reforms have been implemented in such areas as starting a business, construction permits, access to credit, connection to the electricity grid, protection of investors’ rights, electronic courts, an online single export application system, and property registration.

It should be noted that these working groups were established pursuant to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev “On additional measures to improve the business environment in the Republic of Azerbaijan and further enhance the country’s position in international rankings.” In order to ensure the implementation of the Decree, an Action Plan was also adopted.

Economic reforms have been widely promoted through meetings held for entrepreneurs at the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms, as well as through awareness-raising activities conducted during the publication of special issues of the “Reforms Review.” During the discussions, participants were provided with video and audio materials and brochures, and video clips broadcast in the media and on social networks were also presented.
