A joint meeting was held involving the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and the Working Group established under the leadership of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan for the Strategic Roadmap for the Production of Consumer Goods at the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship (SME) Level. During the meeting, the detailed action plan of the Strategic Roadmap was discussed comprehensively.

It was noted during the discussions that the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Strategic Roadmaps carried out under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev ensure a further increase in overall governance efficiency, transparency, and accountability. The successful economic reforms implemented in Azerbaijan have produced tangible results in a short period of time. In particular, 2017, marked as a year of stabilization, stood out due to the growth of non-oil exports, strengthened macroeconomic stability, and further improvements in infrastructure. The United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank have been closely involved in developing the monitoring and evaluation methodology of the Strategic Roadmaps.

At the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, discussions of detailed action plans with the working groups established for all Strategic Roadmaps are ongoing. The main objective of these discussions is to further strengthen coordination between the Center and implementing institutions in order to accelerate the execution of the measures envisaged in the Strategic Roadmaps.

It should be noted that, in accordance with Clause 2.2 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 6, 2016, titled “On the Approval of Strategic Roadmaps for the National Economy and Key Sectors of the Economy,” all monitoring, evaluation, and communication activities related to the actions envisaged in the Strategic Roadmaps are carried out by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
