Professor Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), held a meeting with Holger Floerkemeier, Director of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia (CCAMTAC).
Vusal Gasimli congratulated Holger Floerkemeier on his appointment to this responsible position within the IMF, wished him success in his endeavors, and expressed confidence that he would contribute to the development of regional economic cooperation in his new role.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding the economic reforms implemented in Azerbaijan, modern economic analysis approaches, and the methodologies applied in the monitoring and evaluation of state programs.
The Executive Director of CAERC provided information on the Center's activities, ongoing economic research, and the work performed in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of strategic documents adopted in the country. He specifically discussed the monitoring of priorities set within the "Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026," the analysis of results, and the application of data-driven decision-making mechanisms in public administration.
In his speech, Holger Floerkemeier shared his views on modern methods used in economic analysis, global economic trends, and perspectives on regional cooperation.
The meeting also included discussions on digital platforms created for tracking the implementation of state programs, analytical tools, and data-based management approaches.
