A business meeting was held between the "Azexport" portal of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and the saffron producer "Absheron Saffron." The primary objective of the meeting is to establish joint cooperation to bring Azerbaijani saffron and its various derivative products to the markets of the United States, Europe, and Arab countries.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the unique quality indicators of Absheron saffron as part of the ongoing efforts to promote the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand worldwide. It was noted that Absheron saffron, cultivated in fertile lands rich in iodine and influenced by the maritime climate, possesses the potential to compete in the highest premium segments of global markets.

Within the framework of this cooperation, there are plans to use the capabilities of the "Azexport" portal to expand the export geography of not only raw saffron produced by "Absheron Saffron" but also saffron-infused honey, various types of fruit and flower jams, cosmetic products (creams, soaps, flower baths, etc.), and other items. An agreement was reached on joint activities regarding the adaptation of products to the requirements of target markets, the organization of international sales on global e-commerce platforms, and the establishment of a logistics chain.
