Vusale Caferova, Strategic Analysis and Planning Manager at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), delivered a speech at the “Eurasia Week 2017” event organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Caferova noted that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has implemented comprehensive, scientifically grounded, and systematic economic reforms. As a result, Azerbaijan has become one of the most successful countries in terms of reform implementation. The reform process has gained advanced experience in involving international organizations, business associations, and both local and foreign entities.

During her speech at the event, attended by government and state officials from over 40 countries, she also provided detailed information on the Strategic Roadmaps adopted in Azerbaijan. It was highlighted that Azerbaijan is becoming an important transport and logistics hub on the East-West and North-South corridors. Caferova added that the establishment of the Digital Trade Hub in Azerbaijan is of great importance, as it incorporates the experience of several leading countries.

It should be noted that the “Eurasia Week 2017” event, organized by the OECD, brought together representatives, experts, and delegates from international and regional organizations from Eurasia and OECD countries. Discussions on competitiveness in the Eurasian region were held at round tables and business forums, where various regional issues were exchanged.
