The Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), Vusal Qasimli, has traveled to Estonia with the Azerbaijani delegation to participate in the 4th Eastern Partnership Business Forum. According to CAERC PR Manager Zenure Talibova, the forum is traditionally held prior to the EU Eastern Partnership Summit and aims to expand economic relations between the EU and Eastern Partnership countries.

The forum will feature opening speeches by Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Johannes Hahn, and Vice-President of the European Investment Bank Vasil Hudak. In the first plenary session on “E-Government and the Digital Economy,” Azerbaijani delegate Yana Krimpe, head of B.EST Solutions, will deliver a presentation.

During the forum, presentations will cover Azerbaijan’s digital economy and governance initiatives, including the Mobile ID project, Digital Trade Hub, and Azexport portal, alongside discussions on the country’s successful economic reforms.

Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between CAERC and Estonia’s Eastern Partnership Center. The MoU will outline cooperation strategies between the EU and Azerbaijan to strengthen the country’s position as a digital trade hub.

During the visit, Vusal Qasimli will hold a series of meetings with representatives from government, business, and foreign delegations to provide detailed information on Azerbaijan’s economic reforms, the implementation of strategic roadmaps, business environment improvements, and digital economy development.
