The Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), Vüsal Qasımlı, hosted Augusto Massarini, the Ambassador of Italy to Azerbaijan. During the meeting, Mr. Qasımlı outlined the five main directions of Azerbaijan’s economic reforms:

1. Promotion of economic initiatives

2. Improvement of public administration

3. Enhancement of the business environment

4. Implementation of social reforms

5. Strategic development through the Strategic Roadmaps

He also presented Azerbaijan’s investment opportunities, including the infrastructure and support provided in industrial zones and agroparks, as well as the advantages of the “build-use-transfer” model. Mr. Qasımlı highlighted that Azerbaijan’s progress in international rankings is a direct outcome of the economic reforms led by President İlham Əliyev.

Ambassador Augusto Massarini expressed that Italy closely follows and highly values Azerbaijan’s reform efforts. He noted that Italian companies are interested in investing in Azerbaijan. The discussion also emphasized the further development of political, economic, and cultural relations between Italy and Azerbaijan.

Additionally, Ambassador Massarini visited the “One-Stop” Export Support Center, where he familiarized himself with the favorable conditions provided to exporters.
