A seminar entitled “Economic Development Models: The Cases of Azerbaijan and China” was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the seminar, the Executive Director of the Center, Vusal Gasimli, delivered a speech on the implementation of the Strategic Road Maps in the country and the establishment of a new economic model. He noted that Azerbaijan’s Digital Trade Hub contributes to the digitalization of the Great Silk Road.
Head of the Azexport portal, Zaur Gardashov, spoke about the cooperation between Azexport and Alibaba Group, emphasizing that Azexport has recently been recognized by Alibaba as a “success story.”
Director of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Pei Canxun, stated that economic policy in his country is conducted in line with global challenges. According to him, cooperation between scholars of the two countries offers broad opportunities for an in-depth study of both models and for mutual exchange of experience.
The seminar also addressed the prospects for economic cooperation between China and Azerbaijan along the Great Silk Road. In particular, it was noted that there are extensive opportunities for collaboration in the oil and gas, ICT, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors.
The delegation led by Professor Pei Canxun also visited the “Single Window” Export Support Center.
