On April 6–7, 2017, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication organized a training session on “Requirements for Food Producers and Suppliers.”

In his opening remarks, CAERC Executive Director Vusal Gasimli noted that the Digital Trade Hub of Azerbaijan section is being launched on the www.azexport.az portal to promote exports:“The purpose of this training on ‘Requirements for Food Producers and Suppliers’ is to expand opportunities for local products in traditional and new markets and to accelerate integration into international markets, thereby supporting the country’s ongoing initiatives.”

During the event, participants received guidance on key principles for food products in global markets, as well as laws and directives governing food exports to the European Union, among other discussions.

The training was provided by the British Standards Institute (BSI), a globally recognized authority in management systems standards with over 115 years of history, and its authorized representative for the Caspian region, AQS Group. The session was led by Mahmud Albekov, an international auditor and expert from BSI.

Each participant completing the two-day, Russian-language training will receive an international certificate from BSI, printed in London and bearing a unique identification number. Over 30 representatives from private companies took part in the training.
