An international conference titled “SMART Mobile Azerbaijan” was held in Baku, organized by B.EST Solutions, the Azerbaijani operator of the Asan Imza mobile electronic signature service. During the conference, it was emphasized that mobile technologies are developing rapidly in Azerbaijan, with the widespread use of smartphones becoming an integral part of everyday life.

Discussions were attended by representatives from Russia, Ukraine, Morocco, Iran, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan. The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication was represented by Zaur Gardashov, Head of the Azexport portal. In his presentation titled “Digital Azerbaijan: An Innovative Start,” he spoke about the Azexport portal as well as the Digital Trade Hub of Azerbaijan.

Zaur Gardashov also informed conference participants about the capabilities of the “One-Stop Shop” Export Support Center, noting that the Center digitizes and simplifies all export-related procedures for exporters. He emphasized that the role of mobile operators and the availability of mobile wallets constitute a key value chain in the implementation of these processes.

Speaking at the event, Yana Krimpe, Head of B.EST Solutions Azerbaijan, stated that the discussions—which attracted significant interest from digital experts—will continue in the future.
