An online meeting was held with the authors to discuss the preliminary version of the textbook project titled “Food Safety,” which is being prepared through cooperation between the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication and the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Representing the Center at the meeting were Deputy Executive Director Ramil Huseyn, Head of the State Programs Department Latif Zeynalli, and project coordinator Gunay Rahimli.

Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Executive Director of the Center, provided information about the overall goals and importance of the project. He emphasized that the textbook aims to deliver knowledge in the field of food safety to a broad audience while also contributing to the training of specialists. He highlighted the importance of cooperation for the successful implementation of the project.

The authors shared details about the preliminary versions, presented the challenges they encountered, and put forward proposals to improve the quality of the project and ensure the reliability of the final version.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has also been involved in the process and will contribute to the writing of the book through its experts.

The aim of the food safety textbook is to present theoretical knowledge in this field combined with practical examples, as well as to cover regulatory frameworks, institutional approaches, and technological innovations. The book is intended to serve as a guiding resource especially for young professionals and researchers.

During the meeting, the set objectives were reviewed and steps to further improve the project were identified. It was also emphasized that the project will make a significant contribution to the country’s food safety sector and will be widely used in both academic and practical fields as a reliable and fundamental resource.
