A meeting was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) with representatives of the main implementing institutions to carry out indicative planning for 2026 and to define target values for result indicators related to the implementation of the “Action Plan for 2024-2026 on Increasing the Transit Potential of International Transport Corridors Passing through the Territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Promoting Transit Freight Transportation.”
The Advisor to the Executive Director of CAERC, Tarana Salifova, spoke about the main tasks planned for 2026 within the implementation of the Action Plan. She also highlighted the approaches to defining quantitative and qualitative indicators for monitoring and evaluation at the end of the period. Afterwards, Arzu Suleymanov, Head of Sector of the Monitoring and Evaluation division, presented the indicative planning table and held interactive discussions with representatives of state institutions. It was noted that the implementation period of the Action Plan will end in 2026, and common positions were formed on institutional coordination, a results-oriented approach, and accountability during the implementation process.
Representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture, State Customs Committee, Food Safety Agency, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, and Baku Hovsan International Trade Sea Port JSC took part in the meeting.
It should be noted that, according to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 23 November 2023 approving the “Action Plan for 2024-2026 on Increasing the Transit Potential of International Transport Corridors Passing through the Territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Promoting Transit Freight Transportation,” the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the Action Plan is carried out by CAERC.
