There was an online meeting with the World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael in the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. During the meeting, the Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli provided information on the development achieved due to economic dynamics and systematic support measures in the post-pandemic period.

The support of the World Bank in preparation of socio-economic and institutional reforms implemented during 5 years of Center’s activity and, particularly in strengthening monitoring and evaluation potential was highly appreciated. They also stressed the importance of the traditional "Knowledge Exhibitions" held at the Center based on the World Bank's assessment reports on logistics, trade, agriculture, education, and other sectors. Further cooperation prospects in the restoration of liberated lands, “smart village” development plan, regional logistics, and exploring trade opportunities were also mentioned during the meeting.  

In particular, the support of the World Bank in the integration of the Center into international monitoring and evaluation organizations and the implementation of joint projects was noted. Expressing satisfaction with useful and results-based cooperation with the Center, Ms. Sarah Michael spoke about the work done by the World Bank on human capital development, finance, and "smart village". She noted that the World Bank would continue cooperation with the Center in the discussed sectors.
