The “Azexport” portal, taking into account the growing international demand for seasonal fruits, organized a visit to agro-logistics complexes located in the Quba and Qusar districts to explore the export potential of local products and facilitate their access to international markets. During the visit, the storage, sorting, and export preparation capabilities of products belonging to local producers were evaluated on site.
The complexes store products such as apples, pears, persimmons, nectarines, and quinces, which are exported year-round not only to neighboring countries but also to European and Gulf markets. Additionally, new sorting and packaging equipment has been put into operation at these enterprises. Each enterprise employs 250–300 seasonal workers and more than 150 permanent staff.
Ayxan Qədəşov, head of the “Azexport” portal, stated that the purpose of the visit is to introduce the products grown in this region to the portal’s international client base and to increase export opportunities. The portal regularly receives export orders from various countries around the world, and foreign representatives are invited to Azerbaijan under the “Incoming Buyer” program.
A. Qədəşov also emphasized that expanding exports depends not only on product quality but also on packaging, branding, and compliance with international certifications: “International experience shows that properly packaged and branded products are easier to sell and fetch higher prices in the market. The appearance of a product directly affects its market value.”
These visits also support experience exchange with local entrepreneurs and the development of new projects to improve the export ecosystem.
It should be noted that registration and export consultation services on the “Azexport” portal are completely free of charge. No commission is charged on sales made through the portal.
